Negen genomic analyses now available via Terveystalo

Thursday, May 9, 2019

Terveystalo’s more than one million customers now have the opportunity to use information about their genome to support personal health choices, and as part of their individual treatment.

Negen genomic analyses are available over-the-counter for private and corporate healthcare clients. The analysis report makes clear, in a visually accessible and simple way, the effects of the individual’s genome and current lifestyle factors on their health. Test results are also available to the physician, so that they may be used as part of the treatment plan.

“Preventing disease is a better option for all concerned than allowing illness to occur. When the individual and their physician can know the impact of inherited and lifestyle factors on their health specifically, preventive measures become much more effective — in terms of both the individual’s health choices, and an individualised treatment plan. That is why we are very happy that, with the help of Terveystalo, even more people can now benefit from genomic information,” says Negen Medical Director Kirsi Auro.
